Policies & Eligibility

MHSHL establishes and enforces league policies and eligibility standards to ensure fair competition, player safety, and consistency across all member programs. Eligibility determinations and policy enforcement are conducted in accordance with league bylaws and governing body regulations.

Governing Standards

MHSHL operates under the governance of the Indiana State High School Hockey Association (ISHSHA) and USA Hockey. Member programs and participants are expected to comply with all league bylaws, ISHSHA regulations, and published league policies.

Player Eligibility

Player eligibility is determined based on enrollment status, academic standing, age requirements, residency, and other criteria established by ISHSHA and MHSHL. Eligibility is verified through member programs and league procedures prior to participation in league competition.

Team and Program Compliance

Member programs are responsible for ensuring compliance with league policies, eligibility standards, roster requirements, and administrative deadlines.

Questions and Clarifications

Questions regarding policies or eligibility should be directed to the appropriate league representative or commissioner. Individual eligibility determinations are handled through established league processes and are not adjudicated through informal or public channels.

Official policy documents, eligibility standards, and procedural guidance will be published and updated as needed.
